Hiatus You Need to Take it Now

If you take a hiatus, what can it do for you?

Does your schedule go something like this? You only get four to five hours of sleep per
night. The alarm rings early morning around 5:00
or 6:00, get out of bed, turn off alarm, go to the bathroom, wash hands, brush hair, brush
teeth, drink a glass of water, go to computer, start working.
The rest of the schedule, 7:00 breakfast, work, 11:00 lunch, work,6:30 dinner, then
work until 10:00,or more likely, 11:00 or 12:00,take shower and go to bed.
Start routine again. Hmmm, sound familiar?
Did you have any time during the day for real “me” time?
Did you have any time in the day for prayer, meditation, or simple quiet time just to be
aware of yourself and be at peace? Were you able to think about the things you
want to achieve with your life and your business? Is the answer no?
Guess what, you’re not taking care of yourself. You are doing a disservice to yourself, your
business, and your life purpose, the reason you were put on this earth.
Look, it’s time to take a hiatus! You can decide to take a hiatus for a short
period and only for a small portion of your life.
You will be amazed at how much growth will happen when you do this.
We live in a world that overloads us with information, work, responsibilities, and this
overload causes us to have a scarcity of time. Guess who is in control of this overload and
scarcity. You are.
When you regain control, you gain insight, focus, direction, time, sense of self, love,
happiness, comfort, and joy. You gain the ability to focus on the direction
you want to take your life and your business. When you have a better understanding of your
direction and purpose, you miraculously have more time to share with friends and family.
Here are five steps to taking a hiatus. #1 Find one thing that takes a minimum of
30 – 60 minutes of your time a day, a week, or a month.
#2 Stop doing that one thing cold turkey. If you need to, let your friends, family,
or associates know you will not be doing this one thing any longer.
For now, you are taking a hiatus. #3 Learn how to say “no.”
“No, I can’t do this right now.” “No, I don’t have the time.”
“No, I can’t afford to do that right now.” #4 Fill those newly opened 30-60 minutes with
prayer, meditation, or simply sitting quietly listening to your thoughts.
You will be amazed at how quickly your mind starts flooding with possibilities, with ideas,
with a greater sense of who you are. You will learn to start dreaming again like
a child. You know, that time when everything seemed
possible and nothing could stop you. #5 Once you have a better understanding of
yourself and your dreams, stay on your hiatus. Start using those 30 to 60 minutes to put
action steps into place to make your dreams a reality.
You may think after step five you will be right back on track to having no time, but
in most cases, you will have more time than before you took the hiatus.
This is because you will realize your worth and the need to always stay in touch with
who you are. You will incorporate a little “hiatus”
time into your routine, every single day of your life.
You deserve to take a hiatus every day of your life.
