  Gout is a common form of arthritis where swelling
and pain develops in the joints.  
This is caused by high uric acid levels in the blood, which causes crystals to form in
the body.  
These crystals can cause a lot of pain, especially at the base of the big toe.  
In today’s video we share with you a list of the worst foods for uric acid, and foods
to avoid for gout.

  As you can see, red meat and shellfish contain
a high amount of purine, which converts to uric acid in the body and triggers gout pain.  
Alcohol intake should be kept to a minimum, as this causes problems for the entire body
overall. It also causes the liver to become weak and
sluggish.  
Low fat and none dairy products are the best foods to enjoy, with plenty fresh fruit and
vegetables.  
It also important to drink lots of fluids throughout the day to flush the kidneys and
prevent uric acid crystals forming in the first place.
